Mrs. Mann was born October 7, 1953 in Fairbanks, Alaska, the daughter of the late Vera (Williams) Celestine Simpkins and Tillman Celestine. She passed away August 8, 2014 in Lufkin.
In her professional life, she dedicated herself to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in San Francisco, CA, where she worked for over 30 years as an Asset Manager and Housing Advocate. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master’s in Social Work from San Francisco State University. She was a talented artist and loved to paint in water color. Diana also enjoyed singing in a community church choir in Berkeley.
Diana is survived by husband, Kevin Mann; sisters, Lucinda Chandler and Minnie Cameron; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Scharlotte Celestine; nieces, Jennifer Megan Celestine, Christina Claire Celestine, Vera Cheyanne Celestine and Elizabeth Gill; nephews, Brennon Matthew Celestine, Kevin Ray Jennings, Kodi Russell Jennings, Robert Mann and Iain Mann; great-nieces and great-nephews, Toby Ray Jennings, Stephen Mann, Katherine Mann and Xo Mann; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Francia Mann; and a host of many relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Glenda Celestine.
