Donella Clifton Woods, 81, of Savannah, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Riverview Convalescent Center, under the care of Odyssey Hospice.
She was born in Bulloch County, Ga., and was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Woods.
She was a member of Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, and the Women's Missionary Circle until the church closed, and she then joined Whitefield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Grady W. Woods (Patricia M.), of Savannah, Ga; a daughter, Theresa Lynn Woods Canas (Roddy), of Pembroke, Ga; 4 brothers, Preston Clifton, Benny Clifton, Barnell Clifton, and Jerry Freeman; 3 sisters, Lenora Ilene Crawford, Linda Freeman McKinney, and Gloria Freeman Paige; 2 granddaughters, Lisa Marie Golding (Joe), and Rachel Erin Woods Autin (Dave), 1 great granddaughter, Ariel Golding.
Visitation: 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday at Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Whitefield United Methodist Church, with Dr. Grover Bell, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. Woods will be taken to the church to lie in state at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Remembrances: Whitefield United Methodist Church, 728 East 55th Street, Savannah, Ga 31405.
