Earl A. Allsup, age 70, of Bartonville, passed away Sunday Jan. 12, 2014 at 9:12 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.



He was born Nov. 27, 1943 in Peoria to Lester R. and Vivian (Lehmann) Allsup. He married Jane Taylor June 13, 1964 in Bartonville, they have been married 49 years. She survives along with one son, Keith (Richilyn) Allsup of Bartonville, one daughter, Karen (Ashley) Yost of Lexington, KY, six grandchildren: Karley and Rhett Yost, Garrett Allsup, Taylor Maxwell, Jobi Banas, Hailey Banas, one great-grandson, Beau Strube, two brothers: Carl (Pat) Allsup of Hanna City, Bob (Marty) Allsup of Mapleton, two sisters: Dorothy Burt of Sunnyland, Mary Potter of Wyoming, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Helen Milligan, Francis Chenoweth, and two brothers: Lester and Walter Allsup.



Earl was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam from1968 through 1970.



He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for over 47 years retiring in 2011. He was a member of UAW 974.



Funeral services will be Thursday Jan. 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.at the funeral home.



Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton with Military Rites.



Memorials may be made to the Tuscarora Volunteer Fire Dept., Illinois Cancer Center on Rt. 91, or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
