We prayed for a quick end to your suffering. The Lord saw you were getting tired. The cure was not to be for you so He put his arms around you and He whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best. Everytime the sun shines brightly I will know you are watching over us and beaming from above. Always in my heart dad. Til we are finally all able to be together again.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

On Feb 3 I lost my mentor that taught me so much and has made me the man I have turned out to be. I am going to miss the time we did spend together doing things. It was not always a smooth road but it was a good trip you will be missed serverely but with time the pain will ease till we meet again and be able to fish again

Eddie, you are a special person in our lives. We have good memories esp.of our time in Listowel. We loved coming out to your place. I remember the hours you spent on our white van, fixing, priming and painting, cos you were nervous about us driving a white van in the winter. Talked us into a brown color, and insisted on doing most of the work with some help from a couple of others. You were a faithful Subdeacon and doorman at church for years. :) We're happy your suffering is over, and pray that you will be greeted in eternity by your brother Allen, and Henry too. We can't think of one of you, without remembering the others. We'll see you all again one day, and hold you in our hearts until then. From Lynne Steckly-Barnes and family. xo
