Ellen Lavon (Tootie) Axelson, 74, of Davis, IL passed away on June 17, 2011. Born March 3, 1937 in Galena, IL the daughter of Floyd and Vonie Martin. Married Wayne Axelson on May 2, 1953. He was the love of her life. He passed away in 2009. They loved doing crafts together and the RV. She had 2 craft stores before retiring. She sang on WBEC Beloit Radio and was a member of the Hayloft Jamboree. Survivors include her children, Rick (Sheila) of MO; sister, Darlene Merideth of Aberdeen, WA; grandchildren, Mary Ellen Lurah, Rossie Jennings and Ryan Axelson; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Traci; son, Wayne Lee; 3 brothers and 6 sisters. Funeral Services at 10 am on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7000 W. State St. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
