Fred Engelhard, long time resident of Lakewood, California, passed away on July 27, 2014 in Morton, Washington, with his daughter Coleen Engelhard-Reeder by his side. Fred was born January 9, 1923 in Bowbells, N.D.

Fred is survived by two daughters, Coleen Engelhard-Reeder of Mossyrock, WA, and JoCarroll Meyer of Redding, CA, four grandsons Phillip Austin and Michael Austin of Long Beach, CA, , John Reeder and Jeremy Reeder of Mossyrock, WA, and two great grandchildren Fiona Austin and Samuel Austin of Long Beach, and his sister Helen Geiger of Portland, Oregon.

He has been a longtime member of the American Legion and VFW, having served in the Navy in WWII.

The service will be at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Lakewood on Saturday, August 2, at 10am. Internment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach. Reception to follow. Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine Engelhard.
