Gordon A. Bennett, 78, of Lyndonville, NY, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the medina Memorial Hospital.
Born on February 22, 1936 in N. Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Delbert and Margaret (Batka) Bennett.
Gordon enlisted in the U.S. Army and on returning home he married the late and former Carol Ann Litchard and together they raised four children. He retired as a furnace attendant from Harrison Radiator and he enjoyed working on his antique cars and going to car shows.
He is survived by his children, James (Judy) Bennett of Lyndonville; Margaret (Joe) O'Brien of Holley; Matthew (Sandy) Bennett of Medina; grandchildren' Joshua; Heather; Matthew; Justin; two great- grandchildren, Leah and Earl and several brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, he is predeceased by a son, Joseph and a grandson, Bobby Grah.
Relative and friends may call on Monday, August 25, 2014, from 10 AM- 12PM at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY with a funeral service at 12 NOON with the Rev. Rich Damey officiating. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I am a CNA at Orchard Manor and I was Gordon's care giver. He was a joy he always made us smile. He talked about his wife often and how much he loved her. I will miss him dearly everyday. He made a lot of friends wile he was with us. I truely believe he is with the Lord and his wife. R.I.P. Gordon fly high buddy!

We are saddened to hear of the death of Gordy, but we know he is now running on streets of gold! He was always a blessing to us when he came to church & we have continued to keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
