Faye and Jim, I only recently learned of Greg's passing. He was a very good friend, especially in our youth. We had reconnected earlier in 2014 and it was good to see my old friend again. I'm sad that my good buddy is gone and offer my most sincere condolences. Joe Nelson

Greg was the big brother to one of my very best friends, Karen Weeks Ayala. We were always in awe of him because he was older and in college. My heart is heavy learning of his passing. Rest in peace, Greg.

I met Greg in kindergarden. He was my oldest friend. We had many good times hanging out together. We kept in touch over the years. Our friendship never faded. I really don't remember Greg without a smile on his face. He was always upbeat and looked at life in a positive way, no matter the disapointment or how hard things had been on him.
I will miss Greg. He had a kind heart and a good soul. You can relax now my friend. You are in a good place.

Greg,
You will be deeply missed. I do not
know how our family will function without
you. You have been through so much in
life and always kept an open mind. What a big HEART you had. Please watch over
Mother, and do not leave us out (your
sisters). I will truly miss you.
Remember, I Love You, and always will.

I have known Greg for thirty years. He always lived for today and never worried about tomorrow. He was a trusting soul that got along with everyone and never complained. This last year was hard on him due to his health, but we never expected for him to leave us so soon. He will be deeply missed.

Uncle Greg was a sweet person with a big heart. I remember when I was a kid, we would pick on each other and we would have so much fun together. He was a great person. I love him and I will miss him very much.

I remember many times as a kid going to grandmama and papa's house and how excited I would get to see Uncle Greg. He was my favorite uncle. He was fun, interesting and funny. I would always go up to him, hit him and run. It was fun but I probably shouldn't have hit him so hard so many times. Over time I saw him less and less. We didn't joke around, I didn't hit him, I just said hey, how are you, good to hear and see you soon. I saw him last on resurrection day of this year. I didn't see him soon enough. But if I could go back and see him one more time I would punch him in the wrist and tell him that I love him. Collin Merrett

Greg was an old and dear friend. Knowing him for years dating back to the late 60's we all had shared such good times back then and continued to persue them as we got older. He had a good heart and strong convictions for success and unfortunately his illness prevailed. We wish him peace and his family comfort.
