Dear Family, I just got the news of Homer and am saddened by the news. I had the honor of working with Homer when he worked with the Church. There are people who pass by in your life and there are those who leave a foot print in your heart. Homer is one of those people, he left a foot print. Yes, he always had a joke and we have shared alot of laughter at some of his jokes. I will always remember the low country boil he did for one of our Christmas gatherings and the flower holder he made for each of us. I will always cherish the memories and how he talked about his family. My prayers are with you and in the days to come.

Homer, I was so hoping that you could pull this out and get back on your feet again. You remember our talk Saturday evening at Memorial Hospital. I guess God needed you more than we did here on Earth!
Thanks for the friendship of over 40 years.
I never will forget when you invited me to your house to have dinner with you, Shirley, and the kids. I was a young rookie on the CCPD. Both your kindnes and Shirley's was never forgotten.
