Jim's Elderly and Disabled Tenants

We are disabled elderly tenants at one of Jim's properties, Jefferson House II Senior Apartments in Carlsbad. Jim was kind. We have been safe under him. It was devastating to learn about his passing. There is no longer someone over us who cares and understands our disabilities. Some of us have been disabled even further by crime. He is now gone, and already, we have to pay for things never required under Jim in addition to the rent in our lease. Some of us struggle to make it through the month to pay for life sustaining necessities like food, with no money left to pay for even things like dental care, but we are now required to pay additional monies for the landlord in addition to rent. Many have lost teeth and have trouble even eating. Jim is no longer there to care and keep us safe. We pray that he knows what is happening to us since his passing, and he will look out for us as our guardian angel. We send sincerest condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone privileged to know him, especially those of us whose lives were safe under his ownership.

My deepest condolences to Jim's family. I have known him for over fifty years, always knew he was a friend and admired the way he took charge of his Life and didn't let anything stand in his way. This world has lost a bright and shining light.

Dearest Debby & Girls - Andy and I were deeply saddened to learn of Jim's passing. God took him way too soon, but I guess he needed him more. If it weren't for you two, Andy and I would never have met. Jim was a very special man, with very special talents, and he will be deeply missed. We send all our love and our deepest sympathy. We find it very difficult to say good-bye to a man we loved and admired. Jim has been a great inspiration to many, but especially our family. He will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered.

I graduated with Gino from hoover high in 1964. He was a straight up guy who always acted like an adult and respected others. It is so unfortunate when a high achiever leaves this earth

I am very sad to hear of Jim's too soon death.

He was a good friend and I remember vividly riding in his gold 1962 Corvette. Wow he was cool! Those rides probably were part of my inspiration to own Corvette's my entire life and still competitively racing ZO6 today.

It was interesting that Jim and I had a close relationship for he was probably at the top of the academic class while I was towards the bottom. That probably says a lot about the man he was throughout life. After reading his obituary, it is obvious that he was a person who made a major contribution to all those he touch.

I was thinking about Jim a couple years ago and meant to contract him. It is a good life lesson to reach out to people who were significant in our life before it is too late.
