If I had to sum up the life of James D. Neufeld in one sentence, it would be, "He was a man with unlimited enthusiasm, a zest for life, and who always showed a capacity for Love bigger than the sky."
Jim was a doting father with a deep pride for his little girl, Presley Anne, who earned college and basketball scholarships. His unwavering Love supported her in every challenge, opportunity, and achievement.
Jim and I met at the lighting showroom where he worked on 9/26/11; the electricity between us was palpable! He interrupted the business meeting several times to give me his card (I cannot remember how many cards he gave me, but I think it was 4 or 5) and find out when I might come back to provide more training. We had our first date on 10/25/11 and I was smitten from the first moment he walked in the door. On 9/15/12 I was lucky enough to marry my handsome husband at his beloved sister Ronna's cabin in Brinnon, Wash. on the most majestic day God could have blessed us with.
Jim was a highly regarded lighting expert in the Seattle area, having worked in the industry since he was young at his father's lighting store and later for 30 years at Seattle Lighting before joining North Coast Lighting. He treated everyone he met – from colleagues to customers – with the utmost respect and delighted all with his irrepressible humor. He was the bright light in so many lives, and will be greatly missed.

I was just talking to my brother Steve asking if he'd seen him lately which he hadn't. We got to talking about Jim and how we would love to see him. He was always so happy and upbeat. It was truly such a joy to be around him. We went to the same high school and would periodically over the years run into each other and spend some time catching up. He is definitely one I will forever remember fondly. Terri Smith Van Vleck

Shot many a hoops with Jim in junior high. He was a great guy, with a good heart, Was lucky enough to have his help with my home lighting when I built my current home back in 1995. Had not seen him in about 15 years, but he still managed to get me the "managers special". He never forgot his friends.....

Jim was my best friend for so many years I can't remember! We played hockey in Burien. We bought sports cars and drove the wheels off them. We partied on Alki when you still could. We shot hoops till lights came on. He was an awesome guy! I'm so glad I knew him. I'm sad to learn he has journeyed ahead! Only the best for Jimbo! He loved that TR 3.
