SIMKIN
James Michael Simkin, age 65, died on Monday, November 11, 2013. Beloved companion of Judy Weixel. Father of Ross Emanuel Simkin. Son of Ruth S. Sherry and the late Louis J. Simkin. Brother of Ron Simkin (Deborah) and Candy Aubert (late Fred). Uncle of First Lt. Geoffrey Simkin, U.S. Air Force and Jacques Aubert.
Mr. Simkin was a U.S. Air Force Sergeant, serving 4 years in Vietnam. He was a graduate of Loyola University and was a Tulane University employee for 20 years, working most recently in the Pulmonary Disease Department. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd at 43rd Street on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 3:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Inurnment with military honors will follow in Hebrew Rest Cemetery No. 3, Frenchmen at Pelopidas Sts., New Orleans. Kindly omit flowers.
