Jeannette I. Rowley, 90 of Albion passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Oaks at North
Woods in Battle Creek. She was born July 6, 1921 in Albion to Clement L and Susan I.
(Wood) Scribner. She was married to Fred Arthur Rowley in 1955 in Albion and he
preceded her in death April 30, 1973.
She has lived in Albion all of her life and she was a Washington Gardner High School
graduate. Along with her husband she ran Rowley Insurance Agency, later she was
office manager at Albion Manor Care Center. She was a member of the First Presbyterian
Church in Albion and was an active Deaconess and later Reserve Deaconess. She enjoyed
Reading, being with her family, mother nature, watching the birds and playing music.
She is survived by a son Thomas R. (Lori) Rowley of Battle Creek; son-in-law Robert
(Juanita) Kidder of Albion; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren; a brother Max Scribner of Albion. Besides her husband, she was preceded
in death by a daughter Brenda Kidder; sons William and Dennis; sisters Betty Butler and
Florence Ebbinghaus; a brother Don Scribner and Aunt Hazel Seitler.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 11, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and
6:00-8:00 P.M. at the ERIE STREET CHAPEL of J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 208
West Erie Street, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June
12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. John
Toth officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.

available at the funeral home.
