Obituary Notice
Joseph "Joe" C. Czerniakowski, 67, of Coldwater, passed away May 3, 2012 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born March 30, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph C. and Floryanna (Kielbase) Czerniakowski. He married Marie on July 7, 1974. She survives.
Joe was Parts Manager for various GM Dealerships, retiring after 40 years. He was quite a talker and story teller who loved collecting miniature liquor bottles and gardening. He was a true Detroit sports fan, but mostly an AVID Detroit Tigers fan. His wife Marie is the volunteer coordinator for the Branch Area Food Pantry and he was a great supporter of her efforts.
Joe is survived by his wife, Marie, daughter, Angie (Todd Wastell) Bramlett, sons, Joseph Czerniakowski, Martin (Cindy) Betley, Jeff Czerniakowski, daughter, Danette Lentz, son, Ernest Abercrombie, daughter, Jenny (Brian) Phillips, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Monday, May 7, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Lockwood Community Church in Coldwater with Pastor Shayne Looper officiating. Entombment will be at the Christian Memorial Cultural Center Cemetery in Rochester, MI
