Joyce Darlene Mack was born on March 31, 1957, in Shell Lake to parents George and Olive (Gilbert) Mack. She attended the Spooner Schools and graduated in 1975. On May 31, 1975, she was united in marriage to Willard "Bill" C. Frederickson Jr. at Christ Lutheran Church in Lampson. Joyce worked at the Spooner Dairy Queen but most recently as a waitress at the Prime in Trego. Joyce was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and loved riding horses, knitting, crafts, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends. Joyce died on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at the Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth at the age of 54.
Joyce is survived by her husband Willard "Bill" Jr., children: Chris, Tori (Matt) Benson, Mike (Nicole), Nick (Shannon) all of Trego, grandchildren: Caleb, Gracie, Gabby, Kolton, Sammie, Gavin, McKenna, Arianna, her mother Olive Mack of Trego , brothers Gary Mack of Trego, David Mack of the Twin Cities, MN, sisters: Luella Musser of Washington, Georgean (Glen) of North Carolina, sister in law Shirley Mack of the Twin Cities, MN, and many nephews and nieces.
Joyce is preceded in death by her father George Mack, brothers Harlan and Dale Mack , father in law Willard C. Frederickson Sr., and Aunt Dorothy Clark.
Casket bearers will be Dave Buchman, Josh Buchman, Mark Christman, Roger Clark, Bob Crandell, and Ken Staves.
