DASHLER, Keith R., He lived his early life between Indiana and California attending Castlemont H.S. in Oakland, CA but graduating from Anderson H.S., Indiana. Keith served in the Army in Korea and Japan. His careers included being a contractor in IN & CA but when he settled in Tampa, he became the best custom cabinet maker/carpenter in town working for over 30 years for Kearney Develop¬ment, the Kearney families and many others along with building numerous houses in south Tampa. His hobbies included golf, pool, traveling with their travel trailer all over the country for ten years and for the past five years becoming a writer. He took several courses at HCC at age 80 and has written two books. His dream was to be a published author by age 85. Sadly that remains unful¬filled. Keith was a funny, kind, sensitive and loved by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Patrick Dashler and Robert Dashler; sister, Nelda Reynolds.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline “Sue” Dashler; children, David Dashler (Boe), Irene Petersen (Wade) and Stephen Dashler; stepchildren, Richard Pellage (Bonnie) and Lisa Johnson (Lewis); 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren . Funeral service will take place on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 3pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida . The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
