I certainly enjoyed Mrs. McGhee as my biology teacher at Therrell HS back in the mid-'60's as well as other activities. Her husband had been my principal in elementary school and I thought they made an excellent couple and were such nice folks.

I have so many fond memories of the times spent in her science class at Roosevelt High. She was a great teacher and always had a warm and wondeful smile for everyone. My prayers are with her family at this time.

I'm sure that it must have been your mother who taught me biology at Therrell High School in the early 60s. Even though it's been more than 50 years ago, I still remember her as an excellent teacher. My mother was 95 on September 17, and how amazing that yours turned 101 the day before. My sincere sympathy to all the family.

It was an honor to spend time with Ms. Matilee. When I would ask her if she would like whatever sweet treat I brought, she would answer, "Why yes, I believe I would" and her eyes would sparkle. Sorry for your loss Lee and family.
