Magnus (BILL) William Ostergaard III 65, of Florida City, Florida formerly of Cranbury, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday April 8 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Kendall Florida after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ruth J. Ostergaard (Florida City) his step children Ruth Lilienkamp (Florida), Luci Delmonte (New Jersey), James Lilienkamp (New Jersey) five grandchildren, his brother; Peter Ostergaard (Cranbury, New Jersey), and two sisters Susan Herr and Pamela Dougherty both of Colorado, his sons Will, Ben & Matt of New Jersey.
Bill was self-employed as a painter from the time he was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving in Vietnam. He started his painting business in Cranbury, New Jersey until his retirement in Florida City, Florida a span of 45 years.
He was a member of the Homestead American Legion Post 43 and VFW Post 4127.
At the discretion of the Family, a Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at the Homestead American Legion at a future date and time.
Private Cremation Services were entrusted to Branam Funeral Home.
