Sabin, Marseille Dillard "" 94 of Orlando, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Mrs. Sabin was born October 11, 1918, in Jacksonville, FL. Marseille was the third born child of George and Bessie Dillard of Astor, Umatilla and Eustis area. Her siblings were Era, Bill, Buck, and Annabelle, all deceased. Marseille could still remember her grandfather, Barney Dillard, Sr. of Astor, telling stories to Marjorie K. Rawlings about the floral and fauna and the scrub while Marseille sat on the big wrap around porch watching and listening to the stories told by her grandfather, Barney Dillard, Sr., inspiring the writing of "The Yearling". Marseille's love of her life, Clemente Sabin, died in 2006, and she always wanted to see him again, and on Tuesday, May 14th, she joined him in eternity. She is survived by her daughter Betty Graham and Nieces, Patricia Wells, Diane and Debbie Porter, nephew Jim Dunkin and two God-Children, Belinda and Joyce Berniol. Marseille Sabin was the First Lady Dep. Bailiff of Orange County Sheriff's Department under Melvin G. Coleman, Sheriff, with 10+ years of service, retiring February 14, 1978. Marseille was known best for being a master seamstress, tailor and hat maker, but will be remembered for being a home room mother in her daughters third grade class, where she baked intricately designed cookies and hand decorated each with multiple designs which not only delighted the children then, but those cookies are still remembered. A viewing will be held at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, on Friday, May 17, from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm.
