Hey, Nit, Barclay, Jennifer, Henry, and Lucy. Meant to tell you yesterday that as Tim and I were sitting in the church waiting for the service to begin, I leaned over and said to him, "Thank goodness you're here to keep everything together, because we all know you're 'the rock'." I know Tim was Martha's favorite Hong, and I still don't understand why, but we all loved her very much. I hope your memories of the strong and loving woman she was will comfort you in the days ahead. Jennifer, you might want to start your Thanksgiving preparations now. :) We love y'all and will be praying for you.

Martha so kindly welcomed me when I moved to Georgia. She gave us our first wedding present upon arrival and was so nice. Mike spoke of how much he enjoyed working with her. We will forever treasure her memory and the time we had with her.

Billy, I am so sorry for the loss of Martha - not only for you and your family for our entire community. I loved working with Martha the entire time she was a County Commissioner until the time of my retirement. She was beautiful, intelligent, an untiring worker, and many other good things that I cannot find words to express. I have never met Barkley, but I do feel as if I knew him as Martha, like any good mother, talked about him often. My sympathies to all of you.
