Mary Antongiovanni Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 2, 2013.

Mary Antongiovanni
Passed away on December 13, 2012 with her children by her side. Mom
put up a long and courageous fight surviving Breast Cancer for over 20 years.
Mom was born on January 7, 1933 in Vestone, Italy. She came to America
when she was 18 months old with her parents Albina and John Damioli.
They started their home in Loleta, she was raised in Rohnerville. In 1950 Mom
married Steve Antongiovanni of Scotia. They spent 40 years together raising their
family and working together. Mom worked as a manager of several grange credit unions, she
worked many years as the Credit Manager at Coast Central Credit Union before
her retirement in 1996.
We will remember Mom as a terrific cook and baker, she could whip up a dessert on a moment's
notice. She was a wonderful Mother always delighting in her children. She had a great sense
of humor and loved to be with her family more than anything. Mom was very proud of her yard, she always said it was great therapy. She also loved to play Shanghi with her lady friends
and enjoying coffee with her friend's Coffee
Group. Mom enjoyed volunteering at St. Joseph's Hospital for several years until she was too ill.

Mom is survived by her children, Liana (Bud) Simpson, Lori (Bill)Acorn, Julie (Riley) Wolfe, Paul (Kathy) Antongiovanni, John (Holly) Antongiovannni, her grandchildren, Amy (Jordan) Friedman, Ryan (Mindy) McLeod, Cristina Simpson, Robert (Sarah) Acorn, Michael Acorn, Matt and James Antongiovanni, Felicia and Katlyn Garza. Great grandchildren, Camden, Asher, and Emery Friedman, Eva and Olivia McLeod, and Isabella and Sophia Acorn.
She is also survived by her sister Elsie (Del) Westman, nephews, James (Leslie) O'Neil,
Jeff (Bonnie) O'Neil, Ron (Dyanne) Allegrini, Rick (Regina) Allegrini, and several great nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Albina and John Damioli, sister, Rose Damioli,
and her husband of 40 years Steve Antongiovanni. We would like to thank the staff at Eureka
Internal Medicine for their kind care and especially Dr. Cory Spencer, whom she liked
very much.

I'll always have wonderful memories of your mom. She had such a twinkle in her eye, and was so much fun...not to mention her cooking abilities. She was a special lady.
