Mary Louise Butler, 84, of Valdese, passed away, Thursday, April 21, 2011, while at Autumn Care of Drexel. Born October 10, 1926, in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Albert William Powell and Margaret Berry Powell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby A. Butler, two brothers, William Ervin Powell and Rufus Wesley Powell and a sister, Joyce Louise Powell. Mrs. Butler attended the High Peak Baptist Church and was currently a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church. She served as a Yarn Clerk at Drexel Knitting Mills for over 40 years.
She is survived by a son, Frank Donald Baker, of Lexington, KY;
a step-son, Douglas Butler, of GA;
a daughter, Brenda Lingerfelt, of Valdese;
a step-daughter, Amanda Butler, of GA;
A grandson, Brad Lingerfelt, of Valdese;
and a great grandson, Brandon Lingerfelt.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Butler will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, April 22, 2011, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Burke Memorial Park with the Reverend David Orders officiating.
