Patricia J. Grimm, 83, of Peoria, passed away Monday January 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. She was born May 20, 1929 in Canton, IL. She was the only child of Milton Lyle and Frances Adeline (Lehman) Tate. She married Herbert C. Grimm on July 18, 1952 in Peoria, IL. He died October 10, 2004 and she was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are three daughters, Peggy Chatham (Mike), Bloomington, IL, Gayle Boyd (Monty), Louisville, KY, Sally Robertson (William), Peoria, IL, and one son, John Grimm (Lisa), St. Louis MO, ten grandchildren, Brent Chatham, Laura Chatham, Aimee Johnson, (Craig), Andrew Boyd, Abbie Boyd, James Robertson, David Robertson, Elizabeth Robertson, Aubrey Grimm and Ava Grimm.Pat was a member of First English Lutheran Church and belonged to Rebecca Circle and the Quilting Group. She was employed twenty-five years at Big Top Pre-School, sang with the Belles of Harmony Sweet Adelines Chorus for thirty years, and belonged to River City Health Club for thirty years.She enjoyed music, sewing, and baking. Her cherry pie, toffee, and coffee cake will be missed by all. She also loved going to movies, flowers in her garden, her friends, laughing and having fun. She was proud of her family and they were very important to her.Visitation will be held on Friday January 11th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 12th at 11:00 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church, Peoria, with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Pastor James R. Lillie will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church, OSF Hospice, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
