Richard A. Bainter Jr.
Richard Bainter Jr. passed away with his family by his side on November 9, 2013. He was born on February 15, 1971 in Bellingham, WA to Richard and Susan Bainter. A few months later he moved with his family to Alaska where he was raised. Richard grew up in Juneau where he learned to love the outdoors. Richard was on the ski patrol, and he loved to hunt, fish and ride his dirt bikes. His passion for motorcycling was so great he attended the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute where he learned to hone his mechanical skills. He later joined the team at Destination Harley-Davidson in Tacoma where he worked for 15 years. He learned to build and tune each bike to have more power and performance, and his greatest joy was in seeing the satisfaction of his clients because of the modifications he made. While working at Destination Harley, Richard met the love of his life Teresa, and their adventure together began. Richard is survived by his parents Richard and Susan; his 3 sisters May Ann (Don) Likens of Roseburg, OR, Angela (Matt) Miller of Juneau, AK, Doris Bainter of West Palm Beach, FL; his grandmother Lena Viloria of Puyallup, WA; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Maybelle and Harold Bainter, his grandpa John Manzo and his grandpa Tomas Viloria. We will miss and love you always. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
