Richard Lee Riebesehl, 78, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance. He was born on October 31, 1935 to Albert and Opal Riebesehl in Holgate, Ohio. Richard worked for General Motors, retiring in 1980. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, and his love of buying houses and cars. Richard was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Holgate.
He is survived by his children, Debbie (Tom) Eberle, Roxanne Smith, Tammy Casarez, Marsha Kern, Janet (Tim) DeSote, Candace (John) Moss, Franklin Trusty, and Tabitha (Jose) Chapa; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dallas Riebesehl and Daniel Riebesehl; sister, Marcy Koressel; special friend, Jeanie; and his best friend and dog, Coco.
Friends are invited to visit from 9am to 11am on Monday, June 23, 2014 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 710 Joe E. Brown Avenue in Holgate, Ohio. Funeral Services will follow at 11am at the church. Burial will be at Pleasant Township Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the church, or to the Henry County Humane Society.
