Rita Mae (Adler) Zimmerman, 77, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away on May 15, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on September 17, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio. On September 18, 1954 Rita married Delmar H. "Zip" Zimmerman in Toledo. Rita always kept busy, especially in her yard, tending flowers. She enjoyed antique cars, traveling and cake decorating. Rita was also a fan of Nascar.
Rita is survived by her children, Melody (Jamie) Mullins, Pamala (Robert) Williams, Christine (Dennis) Johnston, Paula Patterson and Timothy (Lori) Zimmerman, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, "Zip".
Friends will be received on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121) where funeral services will begin following the visitation at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rita's name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I saw your Mom a few times at Genesis Healthcare in Perrysburg while I was visiting my brother. He passed on April 28. They are both free now and with their lost loved ones. You're in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
