Ruth and Donald were blessed with two wonderful children; a son, Don Arthur who was born in September of 1947, and a daughter, Majorie Ann who was born in August of 1949.

Ruth is survived by her son, Don A. (Diane) Foote of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina ; her grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie M. (Jason Plafcan) Foote of Marietta, Georgia, Brett A. (Nicole) Foote of Huntersville, North Carolina, and Benjamin J. (Melissa) Foote of Loris, South Carolina; her step-great-granddaughter, Kaylea Ruth Ballew and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Marjorie Ann Foote; her sisters, Dorothy Root and Alta Bouton Hoy; and her brother, John Whight Hymers.

Friends and family may call from 1pm to 2pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 34 River Street, Otego, at which time the family will be in attendance.

A funeral service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 2pm at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Murray officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family, in the Otego Evergreen Cemetery, Otego.

Don and family, I was sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a very nice lady who I knew all my life. I saw her at the grocery store a while ago after she had lost her sight but she knew who I was by my voice. She was very proud of you and your family, her pride and joy. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Don and your family, I had the priviledge of knowing your mom for over 45 years and most recently being her helping hand. We shared of lot of laughs and tears together. She is a great lady, one of whom made my life better for having her as a great friend. I loved her dearly. Now she is perfect in God's heaven with her beloved husband and daughter. Prayers for you all. Karen and Joe Campbell

To Ruth's family--I'm so sorry for your loss.
I delivered Meals on Wheels to Ruth on Tuesdays during the winter months. She made Tuesdays the highlight of the week. Always so cheerful, thoughtful and caring. What a sweet little lady. In fact I referred to her as my "Little Miss Susie Sunshine".
