Cara Sharon,
Cell. 0039 3292581847

I'm several months late, as I just heard about this, but I felt compelled nonetheless to send my condolences. I was very upset to hear of the passing of one of my favorite teachers ever. Full of vim and vigor, Mr Buttaci brought such a passion to his classes that it became infectious to his students, myself included. I will always have found memories of my time at St. Anne School in Fair Lawn, NJ and he was one of the main reasons why it was such a great experience. From diagraming sentences, to writing poetry, creating stories and even throwing him a surprise wedding shower back in 1997 to celebrate his soon-to-be marriage to Sharon, I will always have fond memories of him and I will take them with me the rest of my life. Sad to see such a great mind go. Life is rarely fair and this is one of those instances. Rest well Mr. Buttaci, you're truly one of the greats.

Saw the notice about Mr. Buttaci (while searching something else). I remember him from St. Anne's early in his career, as my Italian teacher and the VP. I always enjoyed his class especially because we have similar Sicilian heritage. Sorry to hear he died young.

Mr B. was my teacher in the late 1970's. Taught me things I thought I would never need...I was WRONG! He prepared me for high school, and I was an A student in college English. He was a great teacher. I was lucky to have him. My sympathies to you and your family.

Mr.Buttaci taught our three children at St. Annes School in Fairlawn NJ. He was an exceptional teacher who made a lasting impact on their lives. He had a flair for teaching that was unmatched by anyone. As adults, when we look back & remember a favorite teacher we were lucky to have, for our children it will always be Mr. Buttaci. He was truly one of the best & we were heartbroken to hear that he had passed away. Our deepest sympathy to his family. With all our love & gratitude- Robert & Jeanne Hutzel & our children Bobby,Christine & Tracy.
