Teresa L. Montes, 89, of Denver, passed away August 22, 2014. She was born August 8, 1925 in La Junta, Colorado to Simon and Vicenta Garcia. She was preceded in death to her beloved husband, Pete. Survived by her children, Steve (Irene) Montes and Gloria Novak; grandson, Jason; and great-grandchildren. Rosary, Tuesday, September 2 at 10:00 a.m. with Memorial Mass following at 10:30, both at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1843 W. 52nd Ave. in Denver. Inurnment to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. A reception will follow services at VFW Hall, 4747 W. Colfax Ave. in Denver.

Dearest Montes family, our hearts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Keep her near and dear to your heart and treasure the memories you have. We have great memories of yard sales and visits with her at her house that she loved so much on Umatilla. I know that she is dancing and singing with her "Old Man" Uncle Pete.
