Anthony (Tony) Paul Betschart,
Born on October 16, 1923 in Auburn, WA. He passed away peacefully on February 8, 2013. Tony was raised in Auburn by his parents Mike and Pauline and joined the United States Navy after graduating high school. Tony was proud to serve his country and continued as a reservist for many years following his active duty during World War II. Tony and his first wife June raised their two daughters in Kent while he enjoyed doing community service with the Knights of Columbus. After moving back to Auburn he was active with the Elks Club. He and his second wife, Esther enjoyed spending time with many friends they made there. He is also survived by his sister Lena Swetz and her children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his daughter Sharon Marsango (husband Ed) and their daughters and grandchildren: his daughter Toni Ann Price (husband Tom): his two stepdaughters Cheri Magnus and Barbara Somers, their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Louis, his sister Ann and her husband Vince, and his wife June and his wife Esther. Graveside services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, 10:00 AM, Friday, February 15, 2013. Memorial donations may be made to support Alzheimer's Research or to the charity of your choice. I wish to send love and light to my uncle Tony's children and grandchildren. I remember growing up, spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Mike, I'd look out the window and there would pull up uncle Tony in that truck like vehicle, I think it was a ford! He was a wonderful man and I am so blessed to have had him as my family.
