Tony Cadena, 68, passed away, June 8, 2014 at St. Joseph Manor in Bryan. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Central Baptist Church. An inurnment will be scheduled for a later date at Houston National Cemetery.
Tony was born October 3, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Gus and Patrocinia Horcasidos Cadena. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving two tours. Tony was an active member of Central Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and will be lovely remembered as “The Big Red King.”
Survivors include his wife, Paula H. Cadena; sister, Mary Finney; son, Aric Wilbanks & his wife Tyra and their sons, Brandon and Austin; son, Aaron Wilbanks & his wife Leslie and their daughter, Victoria; daughter, Kirsten Griffin & her husband Aulcie and their son, Casey; son, Chris Cadena & his wife Kristal and their children, Trenton and Leighton.
The family would like to thank Hospice Brazos Valley; the amazing staff at St. Joseph Manor; our church family, who are the hands and feet of Jesus Christ; the special team of doctors who filled his life with hope, Erin Fleener, MD, Scott Goble, MD, Alan Young, MD, and Brad White, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or to the Central Baptist Church Cancer Support Ministry.
