Welcome Gibson Farr ("Dub"), aged 94, passed away in his home surrounded by his family at his bedside on February 12, 2014.

Mr. Welcome Farr was a veteran of WWII and served our country with honor from Utah Beach to Berlin. He was later employed at Mock Plumbing Company and the U. S. Corps of Engineers.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rheba Audry Pierce and grandson David Shannon Hill.

Mr. Farr was an avid fisherman, gardener, specializing in his tomatoes, and loved wood working projects.

Surviving family members include his daughter Pamela Dale Hill and son-in-law David Harrison Hill, his granddaughter Jennifer Robyn Hill-Kublin and three great granddaughters, Makenzie Shannon Kublin, Sydney Rhebecca Kublin, and Riley Summer Kublin. He is also survived by his three sisters, Catherine Calhoun, Adelaide Waller, and Ann Oglesby and brother-in-law Warren.

Remebrances kindly remit to Island Health Care Hospice THA at 34 West Perry Street, Sav'h GA 31401.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.

Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery.
