A. Anita Brown, 59, of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Born on September 11, 1953 in Charleston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Rosabelle (Holcomb) and the late Samuel Nottingham.
Anita was a life long resident of Medina and in July of 1998, she married William C. Brown Sr. She was employed with the Villages of Orleans as a Activities- Leisure Aid in which she retired from in 2011. She enjoyed animals and spending time with her family.
Anita is survived by her husband of 32 years, William C. Brown Sr.; three sons: Earl (Tammy) Anderson; Eric (Kim) Brown and William Brown Jr.;
Grandchildren: Alissa Anderson; Chloe; David and Ethan Brown. Nine siblings: Burton, Samuel Jr.; Brian, Blaine, Terry, Curt, David; and Sharon Nottingham and Joyce (Marlon) Roe, all of Medina. Two sister-in-law's: Barbara Hinkley of Medina and Donna French of Bath. Two special relatives: Brittney Anderson and Brandi Adams of Medina. Also, several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Clifford Nottingham.
Relatives and friends may call on December 3, 2012, at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY, from 2-4PM and 7-9PM, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 AM with the Rev. Daniel Thurber officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Albion Cemetery.

Bill and family, I met Anita years ago and knew her, but recall the most amazing time when her and Bill joined us at campgrounds. My heart and prayers go out to you all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Anita at the Villages. She was a beautiful person and she always showed love & compassion for the residents.
