Agatha Neville Anderson, 82, of Savannah, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Savannah, Ga., and attended Commercial High School. She worked at Levy's of Savannah, and retired after 20 years of service in the accounting department of Belk's of Savannah.
She served as a Financial Secretary and Activities Secretary for Calvary Baptist Temple. Chairman of the Bereavement Committee, was active in the Judy Diederich Sunday School, was a member of the Sanctuary Choir, and she worked with the Youth of the Church, and was a sponsor for the Youth Choir for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, LaCount L. Anderson, Jr., of Savannah, Ga; daughter, Glenda Benton (Newell) of Guyton, Ga; 3 sons, LaCount L. Anderson, III (Anna) of Scotland Neck, N.C.; John Grady Anderson of Auburn, N.Y., and Timothy S. Anderson (Pamela) of Statesboro, Ga; brother, James G. Neville (Linda) of Savannah, Ga; 5 grandchildren, Susan B. Shinall (Brian), Mary Ella Boothe (Jon), Leah Cannady Anderson, Timothy S. Anderson, II; and Nevil John Anderson; 4 great grandchildren, Ella Grace Boothe, Charlotte Louise Boothe, Harmon Dean Shinall, and Garrett Darnell Shinall, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10 – 11 a.m. Friday in the Wilder Chapel, at Calvary Baptist Temple.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Friday in the Wilder Chapel, at Calvary Baptist Temple, with Rev. Wayne Watts, officiating.
Interment: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery.
