ADAMS, Agnes Alberta Burt, 85, a longtime resident of Prattville, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Prattville Community Church at 2:00 PM with her sister, Carolyn Jones and Pastor Dave Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanton, Alabama, with Ridout's Prattville Chapel directing. Mrs. Adams was born May 25, 1926 in Chilton County to the late John Wesley Burt and Lee Allison Broadhead Burt. Mrs. Adams was a longtime member of the Prattville Community Church. For many years, she lovingly baked and sold bread to help purchase cookware and other items for the church's kitchen. She is survived by four children; Jean Musselman, Rodger (Angela) Gandy , Jane (Max) Leatherwood, and Henry Gandy all of Prattville; two sisters; Ruth Gandy and Carolyn Jones; a brother; Felix(Jean) Burt; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and five wonderful ladies that provided loving care over the last five years . Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Bo Maddox, Bobby Musselman, Jeff Maddox, Dale Gandy, Sean Maddox, and Jeff Pack. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Central Alabama Aging Consortium, 818 South Perry Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel.
