Alfred H. Bierbaum, 96, of Columbia City, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Oaks Nursing Facility. Born April 9, 1915 in Fort Wayne, he retired after 37 years with General Electric. He was a member of Dunfee Missionary Church. He is survived by two sons, Edward Alan Bierbaum, of Larwell and Lawrence William Bierbaum, of Wittman, AZ; daughter, Janis Ann (Keith) Saggars, of Columbia City; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn E. in 2008 and parents, William F. and Emma W. Bierbaum. Funeral Service is 1:00pm Friday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Wayne St. Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
