Alicia Alvarado 83, born in Cananea, Sonora, died in her sleep December 5, 2010. Preceded in death by her husband, Santa Rosa; son, Sylvestre Alvarado and daughter, Linda Peralta. She is survived by her children, Guadalupe Rubio, Alicia (Reuben) Islas, Gerardo (Barbara), Juan (Margaret) and Manuel Alvarado; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN, with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., St. John's Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Interment to follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
