Alma Marie Sheffield, 90, of Beaumont passed away Saturday, October 06, 2012, in Kirbyville, Texas.
Alma was born May 28, 1922 in Merryville, Louisiana to Claude and Bertis Matthews.
Alma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Henry Sheffield; a grandson, Douglas Ray Bailey; and one brother, C.D. Matthews.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Hockenbury and husband Jim of Kirbyville; Emma Rolak and husband Arnold of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Joey Richardson and wife Barbara, James Bailey and wife Debra, Claude Richardson, Curtis Bailey and wife Pam, Tommy Richardson and wife Trish; fifteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
