Born and raised in Council Bluffs. Served in the US Navy during WWII. Received his bachelors degree from UNO in Business Engineering completing the Navy V-12 program. Worked at Western Electric for 30 years in the HR department. Was a caring husband, dad and grandpa. Actively involved in church and community.
Preceded in death by parents Hazel (Johnson) & Scyburt Miles. Brothers Gordon & Robert.
Survived by wife of 63 years Shirley (Bluhm) Miles. Children & Spouses: Rich & Diane, Springfield, IL. Greg & Barb, Apple Valley, MN. Shelley & John Myers, Tucson, AZ. Deanna & David Clopton, Rochester, MN. Bev & John Eno, Lincoln, NE. 13 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren.
The family thanks Teri, Jasmine, Velva & Belinda for their compassionate care over the past year.
Service Monday 10:30 St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Interment Cedar Dale Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday 1-8pm with family receiving friends from 5-7pm. Memorials to St Paul's UMC.
