Alvin Felix Acosta of Arlington Heights Prayers for Alvin Felix Acosta, 77, will be said at 10:15 a.m. Friday, April 8, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the funeral home. Born Feb. 13, 1934, in Chicago, he died April 4, 2011, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Alvin was the husband of Clara A. (nee Currier); father of Victoria A. (Grant) Miller, Michael A. (Diane) Acosta, Kenneth A. (Maureen) Acosta and Rebecca A. (James) Obos; grandfather of Lance, Shannon, Jack, Gregory, Ryan, Daniel, Derek, Deanna, Lindsey, Connor and Liam; brother of Louanne Cassidy, Judith (Ronald) Hillery, and the late Eugenia Bell; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Eugenia Bell and Georgette Carlson.
