Amada Delgado September 13, 1941~September 19, 2013 Resident of Byron, CA My soul mate and companion closed her eyes for the last time on September 19th after a 3 year bout with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born in Brawley, CA and resided the last 36 years in Byron, given the name Amada meaning "Love" which she shared with all that knew her. Born the fourth of eleven children, later she would continue on to have nine of her own five boys and four girls; Daniel, Ronnie, Benjamin, Jenny, Vera, Christina, Vincent, Manual, and Anna. She will join her previously deceased children Daniel, Ronnie, and Jenny in our Lord's Kingdom. She leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to caring for her own family she was a head start teacher for seven years and later a caregiver for the elderly and ill. Her life ended under the care of the wonderful hands of Hospice. Till we meet again Rest in Paradise! Services are as followed; Viewing on Wed Sept 25th from 5-7 pm with a Rosary immediately following at Brentwood Funeral Home. Catholic Mass will be on Thur. Sept 26th, 11:00 am at St. Anne in Byron followed by burial at Union Cemetery in Brentwood. Donations can be made to Hospice Care.
