Andrea Beerman, 34, of Westwood Hills, KS, passed away on June 11th, 2013.
Andrea was born in Springfield, MO on August, 8th, 1978. She graduated Valedictorian from Rogersville High School and continued on to the University of Missouri-Kansas City to receive her Doctorate in Dentistry.
Andrea was married to Benjamin Beerman on October 25th, 2010.
Andrea has been in private practice since 2004 serving over 1200 patients in the Kansas City area. She was also a facilitator of learning for the renowned Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL. Andrea was influential and inspirational for the learning of dentists from around the world. Her technical excellence was surpassed only by her desire to help other dentists become the best they could be. Andrea was passionate about her volunteer mission work in Honduras and El Salvador providing dentistry to the underprivileged. Andrea believed and demonstrated daily that good quality dentistry impacted and improved her patient's lives. She was a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Kansas City Dental Implant Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Along with her passion for dentistry, Andrea enjoyed spending time with her husband, traveling, gardening, yoga and cooking. She was an avid marathon runner and a member of the Kansas City Runner's Edge. Andrea was a devoted member of the Center for Spiritual Living in Kansas City, MO. She was also involved in the manifestation and devolvement of the Timber Creek Retreat House and served as a board member in guiding and directing all involved at every level.
Andrea was a deeply caring, thoughtful and loving woman and expressed these characteristics in everything she did.
Andrea is survived by her husband Benjamin Beerman, parents Jerry & Phyllis Roark, Rogersville, MO, sisters Amy and (Anup Marwadi), Sandy and (Don Tribby), Teresa Lehman, grandmother Opal Aspey. Nieces and nephews Sofia, Aaron, Austin, Trevor, Greyson, Nicholas and Evelyn. Parents-in-law Curt & Jenny Beerman, Kansas City, MO. Brother-in-law Martin Beerman (Elizabeth). And finally her two dogs Maggie & Brooks.
Andrea is preceded in death by grandfathers Dee Aspey and Lewis Roark, and grandmother Lucille Roark.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Center for Spiritual Living on Sunday, June 16th at 1:00pm. Service arrangements are being handled by McGilley Funeral Home.
