Ann Boling Atkinson, 84, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov 13, 2011 at Hospice Savannah, with her family at her bedside. Ann was born in Savannah to the late Theodore Alexander and Florence Carter Boling on Nov. 24, 1926.
For several years Ann was a customer service representative at Oglethorpe Mall. She was a member of the First Christian Church, The Christian Women's Fellowship, Elder Emeritus, and Chairman of the Fellowship Committee. Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John C. Atkinson, of Savannah; three sons, Ted Copeland (MaryAnn) of Alabama, Bill and Tommy Atkinson, both of Savannah; two daughters, Diane Morse (David) of Cartersville, Ga., Suzanne Atkinson, of Savannah; one sister, Florence Carter Peck (Carl), of New York; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 16, 2011 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov 17, 2011 at First Christian Church, 711 E. Victory Dr., with Rev. Woody Jones and Rev. Gary Cubbage officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
