Anna Montuoro, age 95, died peacefully on Sunday, June 23 at Glen Hill Nursing Facility in Danbury.
Anna was a kind, gentle and loving woman with a contagious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by many.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., She was the daughter of Frank and Anna Leo. She was the wife of the late Alfred Montuoro. She will be missed by her son, Leo and daughter-in-law Diane and her son Dominick; grandchildren, Vincent Montuoro wife Alison, Vanessa Montuoro Metzger husband Jason and Alfred Montuoro. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by sisters Josephine, Margaret and brothers Salvator and Vincent.
In early years she was licensed by the State of New York as an electrolysist and had many clients among them Radio City Rockettes. She was a fantastic cook and home maker. Family members treasure her many Italian specialties.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, N.Y. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
