Anne Barlow Lunny, 74, of Old Saybrook, passed away on August 2, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a short illness. Anne was born on February 26, 1940, in Wilmington, MA. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Lunny, their three sons and their wives, Michael Lunny and Elizabeth, John Lunny and Kristi and Paul Lunny and Alicia. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Katrine, Mary Carlin, Conor, Ian, Ryan, Sean, Jennie, Anthony, Michelle and Michael. She also leaves behind her sister Patricia and husband Ray Church, brother-in-law John and wife Brenda Lunny, and sister-in-law Ruth and husband Sal Rizzo. Her many nieces and nephews also held a special place in her heart, Debbie Joy and husband Harry and their daughter Kim, Karen Winters and husband Scott and sons Jeff and Brian, Maura Cautela and husband Sal and son Sean, Frank Rizzo and wife Erin and children Jack and Molly and Sal Rizzo and wife Andrea.
She also leaves life-long friends Louis and Bert Minuet and children Tina, Marie and Mark and countless others who's lives she has touched. Anne worked at Ames Department Store for many years but her greatest accomplishment was her family. Anne loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Ireland with her husband. She had a zest for life, was a friend and surrogate mother to many, and loved by all.
There will be a private family ceremony to celebrate her life.
