Anthony Clark "Tony" Comer, 52, a resident of Shenandoah, died Sept. 22, 2011, at his home in Shenandoah.
A son of Joan E. Comer and the late V.L. "Pete" Comer, he was born on Nov. 16, 1958, at Fort Stewart Army Hospital in Liberty County, Ga. In 1959, he returned to Page County, where he graduated from Page County High School in 1977.
Tony was employed in construction at A&B Development. He was a member of Newport Christian Church and the National Rifle Association. He was a talented musician, playing numerous instruments and had been in several bands. He was accomplished in blacksmithing, woodworking and woodcarvings. He also enjoyed the outdoors.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, is a brother, Timothy Curt Comer of Shenandoah.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Newport Christian Church with the Rev. Walter Lundblad officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lindsey-Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
