Anthony P. Mauro, 90, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013. Born February 19, 1922 in Mendham, NJ, Anthony was a 40 year resident of Cape Coral, FL who moved from NJ with his loving wife Esther of 68 years who preceded him in death by two years. He was an avid gardener, golfer and veteran of World War II. A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, we will miss him greatly because he was loved, lovable and dear to all.
He is survived by his beloved daughter Barbara Niper of NJ; dear son Herbert (JoAnn) Mauro of NJ as well as numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren who called him Grandpa "Sunshine".
He is preceded in death by his son Eugene who passed away in 2011 who also resided in FL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31st at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery betwenn the hours of 10 - 12pm with service and burial with military honors to follow.
