Ardola M. Metker, 98, of Ossian, formerly of Waynedale, passed away Tuesday, January 08, 2013. She was born on October 24, 1914 in Ossian to the late George and Gertrude (Houser) Johnson. She worked at General Electric for 36 years. She was a member of the G. E. Quarter Century Club and Elex Club. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Surviving family include her step-daughter, Janice Muir of Southborough, MA; sister, Mary Alice Cass of Ossian; and 4 step-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing be her husband, Carl J. Metker, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. A funeral service will be 1:00 pm on January 11, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior to services. Visitation will also be from 3-8 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Garden. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
