Arthur F. Ahearn Jr., age 70 of Meriden, formerly of Danbury died on Friday at Mid- State Medical Center, Meriden.
Arthur was born August 4, 1941, the son of the late Arthur F. Sr. and Catherine (Burns) Ahearn. He was a graduate of both St. Peter School and Henry Abbott Technical School, and was active in local athletics.
Arthur served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S. S. Springfield, and later was employed as a sheet metal fabricator for several Danbury area companies. He was for many years a parishioner of St. Peter Church, Danbury.
Arthur is survived by his sister Catherine Donnelley of Danbury, and his brother Robert J. Ahearn and his wife Anne, of Danbury, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Kaiser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 17th at St. Peter Church, Danbury at 10:30am. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Monday July 16th from 5 thru 8pm.
