Arthur Stanley Beagle, 83, of Toledo, Ohio died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Fairview Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on July 14, 1930 to Clyal Glenn and Mary Amelia (Stout) Beagle. On August 5, 1961 he married Barbara "Bobbi" Sue Fey.
Arthur proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force. Arthur worked on the assembly line at Jeep for 23 years and was a member of the UAW Local 12. In his spare time he enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife and they have been in numerous competitions and won many awards, but his love and passion was with the Tango. He also was part of the Toledo Roadrunners and ran marathons in Detroit, Columbus, and Hawaii. When he was 59 years old he ran a 5:18 mile.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Bobbi Beagle; sons, Donald Beagle, Tom (Lynn) Beagle and Robert (Darla) Beagle; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Pieper, Phyllis Beley and Carole (Bill) Collier. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at Neville Funeral Home Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Hwy. Holland, OH (419-865-8879) on Tuesday, May 20 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 21 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter Inc.
